LG (formerly Goldstar) is a South Korean conglomerate that produces petrochemical and electronic products as well as mobile phones and PDAs. With regards to their marketing campaigns for their mobile phones and PDAs, I can personally vouch for their success as not only was I incredibly tempted to immediately purchase the LG Chocolate phone but experienced similar desires for the more recent LG Viewty. An interesting fact about the LG Viewty is that it was widely reported by many magazines and tech sites that it outsold the Apple iPhone in terms of units sold in Europe but cannot be confirmed as Apple has not released sales figures for the iPhone. LG has many notable phones and PDAs in their lineup including: LG VX5400 CDMA, LG VX8350, LG VX8550 Blue Mint Chocolate, LG VENUS VX8800 in Pink, LG VX9400, LG ENv VX9900, LG Voyager VX10000, LG Shine, LG CU515 and the LG CE110.
LG also owns Cyon, their Korean mobile phone brand.
