Siemens AG is a German conglomerate that operates in many fields including power, transportation, medical, information and communication and lighting. With a history of over 150 years, Siemens is a well established brand and it has a wealth of experience having made the first color GSM phone and in all probability the first phone with an MP3 player and has been making mobile phones since 1985.
Among the more popular Siemens PDAs and smart phones are the Siemens SX66 and the Siemens SX 56. However in 2005 Siemens sold its cell phone and PDA manufacturing unit to BenQ. In 2006 the same unit had to file for bankruptcy.
